It has been hard to keep a straight face, because sometimes they have interrupted me writing stuff about atheism.
I wonder if I should try and engage them in conversation next time, get them to think. Is there any point? I guess there's nothing to lose, and if they're cold calling me, I'm entitled to stand up for myself.
I made that mistake on an airplane not too long ago. I "learned" that the god of the OT was the awful being that he was because "the Jews are a stubborn people." That is was mostly non-Jews Yahweh was supposed to be stomping on didn't seem to deter her. I also "learned" the reason it's different this time and the end is really nigh is that now we have nuclear weapons. I can see that that might speed up the end, I just don't see where god comes into it. It was an "interesting" flight.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
