This is just part I of course (the rest of it can be found HERE).
It focuses on the 3rd symphony and why it was a revolution in music (and led not only to the romantic period but the idea of music as unadulterated self-expression). While it is not 100% accurate, it gets the gist and importance of what made Beethoven such an important composer, and why the third symphony was so radical. Its an entertaining doco/bio-pic as well.
Incidentally, the orchestra performing here is led by John Eliot Gardiner. A few months ago I got Gardiner's recording of all nine symphonies (all "HIP") and has amazing energy.
The sixth has always been my personal favorite.
