Because of the popularity of this show and the fact that it is the most pirated series of all time, HBO has a standalone app you can get a subscription just for the three months that GoT will be on. Well worth it.

Plus you can watch all of the other HBO shows on demand while you have the subscription.

Yeah that was a really smart business move by HBO. There are so many people that would happily pay for the show, but the cable companies and government policies of many countries make viewing it difficult, so Game of Thrones rapidly has become the most pirated show in the history of TV. Now HBO is launching a service (launches the same days as the GoT premier) that allows you to just stream it from the HBO site.
