Quote:Louisiana Republicans revolt over Bobby Jindal’s ‘insane’ allegiance to Grover Norquist
Quote:“Louisiana is facing perhaps its worst fiscal crises in decades and this time no one is exaggerating for political rhetoric purposes,” Burns explained. “To make matters even more interesting, a powerful national group, the Americans for Tax Reform has become involved in the budget battle and Louisiana’s governor, Bobby Jindal, appears to be actively seeking the Republican nomination for President.”
“I’m a conservative Republican, but I don’t think that it’s necessarily COMMUNIST TO MAKE BUSINESSES PAY FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF DOING BUSINESS IN YOUR STATE, particularly one with abundant natural resources such as Louisiana,” he continued. “Average citizens pay for the privilege of using resources of the state so business should also.”
Yeah - these two can expect primary opposition from true-blue and stupid republicunt morons.
Jindal's embrace of Norquist and his minions is all about positioning himself "correctly" with the Tea Party idiots come primary season and has jack shit to do with what is right for this state. Jindal's a fucking little punk, and I look forward with pleasure to watching him get disemboweled in the run-up to the general election.
I get spam at work from the Jindal people fairly regularly. Reading their stuff is surreal -- a bit like standing on the deck of a clipper ship caught in the doldrums while the Captain points to the slack sails and exclaims, "We're making good time, boys! And you have me to thank for this wind."
