A perfect example of the assimilation of white America on a race or a culture of people is playing on HBO right now. It's called burry my heart at wounded knee. It is about the subjugation and assimilation of the 'Sue' Indians into white American culture. What I am saying here is this very thing is still going on when we demand that people live in such a way that is 'tolerant' of all cultures.

You clearly don't understand that that "assimilation" consisted of genocide. Comparing modern cultural tolerance with genocide is yet more evidence that you're dumber than a pile of fucking bricks.

Was to break the will of the plains Indians and put them on reservations. He was the senator who sponsered the Dawes act (in the movie and in real life) which was later found to be the piece of legislation that had illegally stolen land (the Dakotas) from Indians and given it to the goverment.

He was quoted in saying " we will assimilate the Sioux or we will see them extinct."

For once, I'm not just dogging on him. His posts are littered with homophones, simple spelling errors and words where he where he obviously doesn't understand the meaning, but still uses consistently. Assimilate is a good example of that last. He uses it over and over as if it means to destroy, hide or eradicate something instead of meaning to take something and make it a fully integrated part of something else.

Yest, he's a tool and a fuck-wit, but so is GC but he can at least speak the language (for the most part) properly.

Really listen to what's being said:
The Borg had a standard set of hails which were sent to those targeted for assimilation. The actual wording varied, but the hails almost always included the following information:

Self identification ("We are the Borg.")
Intention to assimilate the target ("You will be assimilated"), ("Existence as you know it is over")
The uselessness of attempted resistance by the target ("Resistance is futile")

I try to not judge people based on their language skills. I'm not native myself, sometimes I make mistakes.

The thing is, Drich has been observed being corrected in his language usage on this forum, complete with citations in one instance, and still he clings to his error.

It's as if he's unable to admit any sort of error or ignorance at all. I agree, Dys, that language errors should not be fodder for heckoing, but with Drich, I do sometimes broach that policy, precisely because he absolutely refuses to correct his error even in the face of authoritative sources.
