It depends on God's view and plans on his creation and is only correct if God puts himself completely on the same line as his creation in regard of morals. Exemplifying the morals is necessary from a pedagogical point of view but the intentions may be completely different.

Speaking of abrahamic faiths, there are plenty of well-known examples in the texts themselves showing inconsistent moral conduct. The other problem here is that digmatics and zealots hate relativism. So they embrace outdated ancient morals and try to spot their "godly" manifistations in everyday's life.
