No, it is not logical, nor rational.
The exalted god would present itself the same way to every single person on Earth. Instead, we get the guy presenting itself to a few select individuals who then preach what the god allegedly told them.
I see that as a strong hint that god didn't tell anyone anything, while a few select individuals claim it.... but they lie.
As people so often do, they lie.... or someone lies for them after they become some sort of well known leaders and the prophet status gets attached to them as a means to enhance the control the ruling class already has over the people.
Again, people ruling people.
It worked. I must say, it worked quite well... in the middle-east...
But it can't work under the worldwide community... Will have to account for all the other claimants to similar, but discordant, prophecies.
Either only one of them is right... or none.
