I will be unemployed next week, due to my contract end-date which *cannot* be extended for the prime reason that there is a complete government staff freeze in NSW, Australia at the moment (along with several other states). Interesting how government employees above a certain level will be immune to the effects, I have to question would the government run any worse should those senior managers lose their jobs? It seems more a manner of covering their own backsides, while those of us lower down must deal with the consequences.
