If so, how did you determine it is the best form of morality? And what does morality mean to you? What purpose is this morality supposed to have?
A crime against an infinite being is an infinite crime? I have no idea what an infinite being is supposed to mean, but even if God is infinite, how is a finite crime against him infinite? Isn't he big enough and ugly enough to deal with it without resorting to violence and torture?
Yes I do and I base my morality on a unchangeable all powerful all righteous all knowing God. I strive to base my morality on God and His ways and allow Him to correct me when I am wrong. The purpose of God's morality is that we love God with all of our heart mind and soul and strength and that we love our neighbors as ourselves. If we live this way there will be peace and harmony.
An infinite God has no beginning or end the depths of His knowledge, wisdom, love, understating, humility, (everything good) has no end. We will never find the end of Him.
In America it is a higher crime to abuse a person than to abuse a dog. So it is only understandable that it is a higher crime to sin against God than man.
Also God is just and sin is a crime. He can't and will not just let it slide because that would make Him unjust. That is why in His mercy He paid the penalty for us that whom ever would repent and put their trust in him would have eternal life in and through Christ Jesus.
Chad God doesn't need to change because He knows everything. He has it right so changing would be wrong.
