Welcome, young one.  You have to understand to the really devout fools your very existence is a threat.  They do not understand how you can dismiss their silly god.  As long as your teacher is not a problem enjoy the fact that you make them uncomfortable.  They need to feel uncomfortable.  It will do them some good.
