When I'm down in the canyon, it doesn't matter to me whether a god exists or not. Being inside that nature, I am overawed, and feel humble and small, in an entirely healthy way that makes humility before any god seem tawdry and utilitarian.
Well said indeed, I feel the same way when looking at nature in all her overwhelming glory sometimes.
