Myths are often eclectic, taking bits and pieces from various sources. One source of the holy spirit is from the Egyptian trinity, Ausar, Auset and Heru. The Greeks borrowed this and changed the names to Osiris, Isis and Horus, then the Christians came along. They liked the idea but got rid of the mother and replaced her with a make ghost. Is it any wonder that so many homosexuals are attracted to Christianity when it's godhead is the quintessential gay family: Two male parents and a male child? There's something about that that makes them feel at home despite all the persecution.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
