I personally think religion should only be practiced in your own home or church.

You must be a very jaded person if you resent being told that you are loved.
Instead of being so miffed, you should be thankful. The Christian religion has so profoundly affected public life in the West that you take certain civil values for granted. None of those values were present anywhere in the West until the Christian religion brought them in. Do you believe that people have human rights and deserve to be treated with dignity just because they are human? Then you have Christianity to thank for that. Atheists that say they can be good without God are just freeloading off of uniquely Christian values like ‘love your neighbor as yourself’, the Golden Rule, and the brotherhood of Man.

I know you'd start a riot if I publicly advertised Atheism…If I put a bumper sticker that says "Jesus isn't real" on my truck, my tires would be slashed, my truck would be keyed, spray painted, egged and set on fire that same day.

I very much doubt that. Christians get offended but generally do not turn to violence. The worst thing a Christian will do is tell you the truth you don’t want to hear. That said, I would not put a picture of Mohammed on your car.
