Instead of being so miffed, you should be thankful. The Christian religion has so profoundly affected public life in the West that you take certain civil values for granted. None of those values were present anywhere in the West until the Christian religion brought them in. Do you believe that people have human rights and deserve to be treated with dignity just because they are human? Then you have Christianity to thank for that. Atheists that say they can be good without God are just freeloading off of uniquely Christian values like ‘love your neighbor as yourself’, the Golden Rule, and the brotherhood of Man.
