Taken within the -entire- context of the NT (and lets not just forget the OT) the text applies a wonderful mish-mash of descriptors which, if you were to map them out, you'd find many to be shared between dissimilar entities mentioned. This is -why- the issue of christology splits sects. Even within the orthodoxy there are nuanced - small, but deeply implicational differences. All of this is after the multiple interpretations of the texts, some of which wildly diverging (like john 1:1 in the NWT vs the NIV). Not sure what this should make you doubt - it certainly doesn't say much about god (granted)...though it says plenty regarding our ability to know about god -even if he did exist- by using these texts or following these traditions.
