As for euthanasia, yes I agree with it once the illness is terminal and causing nothing but pain to the sufferer. But I think it has to be a decision made with informed consent by the patient, who is judged to be of sound mind and can still be trusted to make their own decisions. Invariably, this will bring it own problems and complications, but I think it's better than forcing sick people to live in abject misery for the last few weeks/months of their lives.
