Prayer doesn't work. Test it!

I’m assuming that you're going to ignore the approximately 98%+ of scientific studies of prayer; maybe try to prove it to yourself. Instead of praying for yourself to do well on a test you know that you're going to pass, or instead of praying for your wife who has the common cold to get better soon, maybe try praying for something that will not happen under our laws of physics. Test your prayer on something that would take an act of god to occur. Set 5 items of the same size and weight on the floor. Pray for god to levitate the object of your choice, and float right into your hand. Keep praying for as long it takes for you to give up.

You asked for proof I gave you the bible as proof and then you state the that I am arguing from ignorance.

The Harry Potter series is divinely inspired, and all of the books are the ‘True Word of God’. I could point to the books, and say, “Magic is ok, it’s in the Sorcerer’s Stone.” You’d say, “No, the bible says no witchcraft.” I’d say, “You’re wrong, I just know Harry Potter contains divinely inspired information. You can’t prove it wrong.” You could prove it wrong, and I would ignore the untrue information, ignore the farfetched material, and say that, “I just know god was speaking to the author while writing these books. When I pray, I can feel that it’s true. I know it that I know it that I know it. I prayed to Harry Potter that he would protect us from harm when my friends and I went out yesterday, and he did. He looks out for me. Just accept Harry Potter as one of your gods. Do you seriously think that someone would just make all of these books up, and that all of these people that witnessed Harry Potter perform his magic tricks were all making it up? Just have faith.”
