I am a former Catholic, and a Liberal, but do not value communism.

I am no fan of economics being treated dogmatically. Just like ecosystems depend on balance and diversity, so should economics. I am no fan of Che, or Ayn Rand. I'd consider myself a private sector socialist, allow for the private sector, some difference in pay, but not the lopsided bullshit corporate America forces on us.

Most other western 1rst world countries value health care and livable wages and cheep or free higher education. I don't think we have to become Castro's fascist one party state to do that.

One thing both liberals and conservatives do is treat the word "capitalism" as a form of government. It is not. The Saudi Royal Family is rich, they own oil companies and stocks in banks. Gadaffi was a billionaire who owned stock in GE. I am sure if you could crawl into the finances of the  Un family you would find global investments too. The truth is there is not one power, be it a family or party, friend or foe, that does not have it's hands in the global market.

If humans want more peace worldwide, the first place to start is to face this fact.

There is nothing to consider on this point, the Catholic Church has made it very clear that socialism and all such materialistic heresies are not to be tolerated. I personally feel a return to a feudal monarchy with a more enlightened system of serfdom is the best way forward.

Maybe you should pray for that, and we can see who the truer Christian is.

Many of us who cannot stand this peversion of the dignity of the office of Peter do. We cannot kill him but we most certainly can, some might even say obligated to pray for his death or resignation.
