Anyone can CLAIM to be a Christian, but there are objective criteria by which these things can be determined. Baptism is the means by which we enter into the Body of Christ, and Mormons have screwed that up.

Baneemy says Mormons are the only ones that do it correctly.

Mormons also sincerely believe the Holy Ghost did not impregnate the Virgin Mary since as a spirit, it had no physical body to do the deed, and even if it had, Jesus would therefore have been born as a spirit Himself, not a flesh and blood living embodied person. Jesus takes after his 'real' dad in having a an actual physical body, and that dad is Adam (as in Adam and Eve).

By the lax standards of logic employed in the religiousite world(s), the Mormons version actually makes a particle or two more sense. It's still a hectare and a firkin short of a happy meal, but there we are.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
