This is the only point you are spot on about. No. I don't want to hear about some magical sky daddy "helping" me because when I was a theist, struggling for years, he didn't help me then. Now that I know there's never been any scientific proof to point to his existence, I no longer feel the need to anticipate that some non-existent being will help.
