You are wrong. They have just stopped enforcing bigotry. One man's heresy is another man's religion. Now there is freedom for people to express their religious views, whereas before, one could not do so if one were not in line with one of the recognized religions.
You, being a Christian, ought to appreciate this, as Christianity was at one time not mainstream, and would, under Icelandic-type blasphemy laws, have been illegal to be publicly expressed.
The OP says to abolish blasphemy laws, this to me means anyone can speak against anything they consider religious, and It's fine with me, freedom of speech you know.
