You, being a Christian, ought to appreciate this, as Christianity was at one time not mainstream, and would, under Icelandic-type blasphemy laws, have been illegal to be publicly expressed.
The OP says to abolish blasphemy laws, this to me means anyone can speak against anything they consider religious, and It's fine with me, freedom of speech you know.

I don't understand this statement in context with your previous one that the end of blasphemy laws will mean legalized bigotry. You first said that was bad and now you are saying it is good?
Aren't you an American? Do you feel that you encounter bigotry because there are no blasphemy laws in the US? Would you like to see such laws enacted in the US?
