Your story reminds me of that episode of "goosebumps: welcome to dead house", where all the townspeople including the kids were actually zombies, trying to add new members to their ranks. Anyway, your parents are right about one thing, you are young and hence are still dependent on them, so though it would be great if they understood you, don't push it too hard if they don't. And our knowledge virus is spreading pretty fast and infecting a lot of people, so who knows, by the time you become independent, you might have a lot more knowledge-infected people around you than you think
