You are right God did die for my sins and I've accepted that, you have not and so we stand on different sides of the fence. From my side I can see what God really did for me, from your side .... well you can not see because you do not have faith in God. As you said God died for me, so that must mean that you agree with me that God did not sacrifice Himself to Himself. The only reason God would have sacrificed Himself to Himself is because He would need salvation from sin and since He is perfect he did not need to do that. So there you are God died for me not Himself now how cool is that, I think totally.
Because the Bible is our only document about God and what He has done for our salvation show me where God said that He must sacrifice Himself to Himself to save mankind. If God sacrifices Himself to Himself then that leaves mankind out. Also show me in scriptures were and how God tried Himself condemned Himself to death, beat Himself nearly to death, nailed Himself to the cross ran a spear through His side and then said just before He died I know that you God accept my sacrifice to you from Me. I do believe that Christ said,"My God why have you forsaken Me."
Forsaken: means to renounce or turn away from entirely. This does not seem like God was sacrificing Himself to Himself, does sound like He sacrificed Himself for mankind.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
