Indeed. I've been meaning to write a post about how religious figures are no different to santa claus. The only difference is the reinforcement/enforcement of "belief". If most people still believed in santa claus as an adult and actively harmed you for saying he wasn't real, even going so far as to kill you, then people would say they believed it and end up brainwashed in the same way. It's fairy tails and imaginary friends for adults. At least my imaginary friend as a child never felt the need for me to spread the word about him, or to go and kill anyone.

Nothing against you personally Khansins, I just hate Islam (and other religions).
