Even Omaha Nebraska has had violence break out at peace marches this year. The scenario so far has been for the victims family and community leaders to set up and lead a march, and then the march is violently disrupted by friends/family of whoever is being accused of the violence that precipitated the march.
There's also been a trend to more frequent outbursts and disruptions at the court house during trials resulting from some of these highly charged incidents.
Significantly, a recent incident that might have gone that way did not as the 2 mothers involved knew each other prior to the incident and appeared together afterwards. It was a hopeful sign, but it wouldn't take much for that to be forgotten if another situation arises and goes south, and I'd say the odds of that went upwards quite a bit tonight.

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
