If you check into a hotel room, would it not raise an alarm if you keep bringing the same luggage with you multiple times to that same room on the same vist? I'm not sure how their check-in methods work, I'm sure though a place as nice as the Mandalay Bay has regular employee's that would of seen him bringing in the same or possibly different luggage.
As for the employees, it doesn't take long before guests are just things you have to work around to get your job done.
