I was having a conversation with a very left wing liberal feminist recently who said to me "You respect Muslim's beliefs don't you?"
Which got a very easy no from me. And neither should she. Muslims I personally know believe the correct punishment for her as a bisexual and any other homosexual is death. Also why would I respect belief in a book that's 50% violent threats towards me as an atheist, even if they are supernatural threats. Effectively I was lying next to someone who thinks I should respect the belief that she should die and I'm evil and deserve to be roasted until my skin is burned then replaced by more skin to be burned again.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
