I just have to keep watching her and report to him if various things happen.
I have my dad's old stethoscope so I will be listening to her heart and lungs too.
Good news
I apologize for not remembering, how old is she?
She's 10 - which is getting up there for a Cavalier, unfortunately. The heart murmur was detected a few years ago and held steady for a couple years before getting worse...it's holding at a grade 3/4 now. She gets around pretty well and has a good appetite but is deaf as a fence post. The boys take care of her and she's learned some signs. And we still talk to her like she can hear us...smh.
My boys (6 and 4) still aren't showing signs of heart issues...thankfully, as it's a common affliction in the breed.
