I think there are actually a lot of Christians who respect your differences, respect you as a person, and don't want to get all preachy.
You just don't really notice them because they stay quiet about that stuff. Naturally, it's the loud ones you notice most.
Next time you're in a situation where a theist is bugging you, just tell them that your views are different, and though you respect their views, you are not interested in having any discussions about them.
Keep it simple, respectful, and straight forward. I imagine most of them will drop it at that point.
