I could be wrong but when you look at all the things we gain from our food that make us healthy theres a supplement out there for each and every one of them. Do we have any nutritional experts here?
I think that lack of absorption is considered to be an issue with many standard vitamins tablets; Much or even most of the dose is believed to be excreted through urine, as far as I understand. I have seen some pricey green superfood vitamin capsules with "live" enzymes that claim better absorption.
Whatev's right; It would be a good question for the forum nutritionists; Aractus does have a very informative "Ask a Student Nutritionist" thread (or something to that effect). Very helpful. And I believe LOC is currently a professional nutritionist.
Doesn't stop me from chewing a couple of inexpensive gummy-vitamins every day, though I try to get most of my nutrients through actual food. It's not always easy. I'd be willing to drop a fair amount of $ for a supplement that's proven to have a high level of bioavailability.
I work long hours, and several of my co-workers like to steal stuff out of the employee fridge.
