By inspire, I mean give us candidates that aren't patently full of shit and actually care about promoting progressive policies, rather than well-documented prevaricators who will do the GOP's job for them in the vain hope of gaining some of their votes in a general election.
Once this primary is over, Clinton is going to sound an awful lot less like Bernie Sanders because she won't need to worry about pandering to progressives anymore. She'll be free to support job-destroying free trade deals and talk about how we can't raise wages because it will hurt job creators, and won't have to pretend to support LGBT rights.
People who voted for Clinton will be responsible for President Trump in that unfortunate event. We've had to choose between a shit sandwich and a giant douche in many elections, but the shit sandwich is a lot harder to swallow knowing that we could have nominated someone much better, who polls far higher against the giant douche. We're going to get it good and hard regardless of who wins this November.
