Exactly. Just because "science doesn't know everything", it doesn't mean "science knows nothing". It's so revealing how they only have a problem with science when it conflicts with what their magic books tell them. They're basically tourists walking around London with a map of the New York subway and insisting it's the city that's wrong.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
