I don't see how taking this opportunity to bash Republicans when Republicans were just murdered for being Republican is going to be at all productive or do any sort of good. Which is precisely what I was seeing most of here when I made that post. Though I haven't read the last several pages, so don't know if the tune has changed since.
Did any of them die? Last I heard, there was no murder–"just" attempted murder. I'm not minimizing. I honestly don't know if the news changed.
I agree that bashing is getting no one anywhere. However, I do think the Republicans in office will have to take some responsibility for the political climate in this country at some point. Eight years of Obama-bashing and then putting Trump in office has obviously triggered some folks. We are going to keep having radicals if we don't do something about the rhetoric. We are going to keep having shootings if we don't do something about gun control. The best way to treat this situation is to use it as an opportunity to fix some things.
