I've known a bunch of minimum wage workers over the years - and NEVER did I hear a minimum wage worker cheer about getting a few extra sheckels a month. Without fail - in a month or two they were right back to paycheck to paycheck....

The US average minimum wage is $11/hour. Raising it to $15 means an extra $640/month for a full time worker. That’s more than ‘a few sheckels [sic]’.
