Yeah, bible study was a big issue when I was in. Our NCO's weren't the jesusy ones, though, so we didn't have to deal with it. I assume that it became an issue as the pipe closed upstream - but I didn't make it a career so all of my memories and ideas about the service are from a great unit that wasn't representative of the problems in todays military....it was there, on it's way, creeping forward then (now lurching).
