Then why aren't catholic priests allowed to marry?
There was a problem in the church whereby priests were using their position to enrich their families, and at one time a bishops son could also inherit his position. They nixxed that as part of a combined political purge and anti-corruption sweep.
When you say "most" you exclude religious sects that view homosexuality (and a larger list of general abnormalities) as holy or sacred. The religion in question is the way it is because that;s the way the people who created it were. "God" inherited their small mindedness, and the similarly small minded find comfort in that conformity.
