They can't because Bible is very contradictory and therefore flawed. That is why there are so many denominations. Take the stance on divorce: can we look at the Bible and see what it clearly states? The answer is no.
In some parts Jesus clearly forbids the divorce:
Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Matthew 19:6
Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery. -- Mark 10:11
Whosoever putteth away his wife and marrieth another, committeth adultery. -- Luke 16:18
And that's why Catholics don't allow the divorce in any circumstances.
But then in other parts of NT Jesus actually approves of divorce:
Whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery. Matthew 5:32
Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery. Matthew 19:9
That's why orthodox Christianity and some others let people divorce. So you can not test which is right denomination by using the Bible. It doesn't mean if your denomination made a choice that it is the "right" choice.
There are two obvious extremes used by Satan. Where differences and divisions among men are supposed to prove that the Bible has no unified truth, and the other that all beliefs and conundrums are holy and will lead to eternal life.
Then there is the attitudes of people- who will be either exclusive or inclusive when it's not appropriate.
On the issue of divorce, Jesus made it very plain that separation was never intended in the first place, but that divorce laws were added, mainly because the men were stupid and selfish, and God did not expect a woman to put up with that.
The only reason allowed for divorce was unfaithfulness. Which wasn't enough, because people may not have had an affair, but they'd be cruel to their partner.
And yet God did not condemn the person who left their partner after being abused.
God wants the hurt partner to find love and be comforted. At the same time he would not want people to think that he is nonchalant about divorce, but it is a serious offense to hurt your partner.
Another example is polygamy, God does not approve of it, but because he did not call Abraham on it, (there were other major spiritual issues that needed to be dealt with first), people excuse polygamy. Besides it is very clear that Abraham was pretty fed up with it at the end.

I took time out of my life to go back through every thread in which you and I interacted and edited them, including any by other members who may have quoted them, and circumvented the automatic edit log for each of those posts, purely to make you into a liar.
Aren't you a moderator? It can be done.
When you exaggerate and make blatantly false remarks, and call people *****, of course I'll be wondering what you are capable of.
And this comment will probably trigger for you to play the innocent and misunderstood role, or say that I have a victim mentality and a persecution complex.
Surprise me.

I do indeed know the Bible, you deluded little dweeb. I read it 53 years ago and continue to read bits and pieces of it now and then.
It's crap.
Quote:So how is death not part of the atheist world? Isn't your world going to end under the sun? Isn't every life form just a pointless spat?
As if believers bought about the threat of death.
According to the SDA delusion, your make-believe god intends to "awaken" people from death for the sole purpose of judging them and destroying most of them.
As you are the one propagating the myth, I place the responsibility for that threat on your head.
You don't get to weasel out of the threat by questioning where *I* find meaning in life. It's none of your fucking business.
It sounds like you have experienced a lot of anguish throughout your entire life...
I'm sorry that I have only antagonized you.

He's SORRY folks. Really sorry.
There are a few things which you say are written in the Bible, which aren't even written in there.
As for me insulting people, take the best sample and quote me, to back up what you are saying.
I won't argue about science, God and nature, because if you don't think that science has any errors mixed in with the truth, then there is too much to sort through on this thread, which has gone well off subject.
