Okay then, puppy photos is it? I've got pup photos too, at least for Smoke. Heidi and Fletcher before were both adults when I got them. Hmmm, in fact Smoke is only the third true pup I've ever raised out of 8 I've brought home. If anyone else has had a few it might be fun to list them:
#1 Bunny, offspring of my family's mutt and my brother's mutt. Picked her out while still in H.S. Died when hit by car.
#2 Sandy, Collie x German shepherd adopted at a couple years old. Died of kidney failure in 12th year with me.
#3 Daisy, a Dalmatian (never again) - first dog I picked with Lia as an older puppy. Died at 15 of old age.
#4 Sophie, Golden x Lab bought as a young puppy. Wonderful dog, enforced the rules on all new dogs. Died at 16.
#5 Mathilda, Flat coat retriever, taken in at 12y when my niece was getting divorced and couldn't keep her. Died at 14.
#6 Fletcher, Australian Shepherd, taken in at 4 when Lia's aunt/uncle died. Lived to 14y/2m. Only dog I've buried here.
#7 Heidi Rose, probably an Aust.Shep x Heeler, adopted at about a year. Still the boss at 8.5 years of age.
#8 Smokey, AussiexHeeler purchased as a puppy from a Colorado breeder of ranch dogs and horses. 2.5 years of age.
Unfortunately I don't have digital photos of most of these, but I can go back to Daisy, no problem, but I'll go in reverse order.
Smoke as 10 weeks on his first day with me.
Heidi early on at maybe a year and a half with Fletcher, back when she was the apprentice.
Sophie with Mathilda in an early garden photo.
Sophie was maybe 2 or 3, when the garden was barely started.
Daisy in front of the first aviary I built in the summer of 1991. Before I started in on the garden.
