The box of ashes has "Ebby" on the front plaque. I expected it to take longer and wasn't ready for the reality that she's gone.I have the ashes of the two dogs I lost in 2016. I didn't do pawprints. Lady hated having her feet touched so I didn't want that for her.
The little cedar boxes are on shelves in the office with pictures on top of each with their first collars. Both had names and nicknames...so their name plates have both on them instead of their name and dates.
It's hard.
