This past weekend was grooming time for the boys. Both the dogs are pretty used to being shaved down by me but for some reason they simply didn't want their feet messed with at all so their paws aren't looking great but are less furry.
I haven't tried to groom the whirling dervish known as Harley yet. Her Grinch feet are growing in and her legs are starting to feather so it's something I need to do soon. I did put her on the grooming table and looped the leash around her neck. I started brushing her back and she seemed to like that so I brushed her ears and got her used to that part of the process. One day we will both be ready to brave the shaver...just not quite yet.
When Cavaliers have their fur grown out they look like they have Grinch feet. I try to keep the boys clipped up so they don't get so dirty...that will be a fun step in the grooming of Harley. We might both need one of her calming chews.
