Not a good idea to let others decide on what you will or will not believe. You have asked THE question. It's up to you to decide. Nobody can decide for you, because nobody actually knows for a fact.
No counselor worth their salt would try to convince one way or the other that there is or isn't a heaven. They would simply help you deal with the emotional trauma that stems from said delusions. Whether or not they think heaven isn't real, they'll certainly tell you that heaven isn't real for you right now but rather a construct in your mind you've created that is giving you anxiety. Not an actual place/thing/situation you're dealing with in the here and now.
That some shitty therapists might have a religious agenda says almost nothing about psychology as a whole.
Dealing with a therapist when it comes to extreme anxiety/paranoia/delusions is always the best route. If you're uncomfortable with a certain therapist, get a new one.
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.
