Just because I don't subscribe to insane policies doesn't mean I take joy in people's suffering.

You do seem to be indifferent to it, though.

 

Should we provide emergency medical treatment? Sure. Should we guarantee border jumpers free medical care ( Medicare )? Are you out of your mind?

You are required, by law, to provide medical care for these people.

 

The vast majority of those trying to enter this country do so for economic reasons. We don't need to make sneaking in any more attractive.

You don't seem to be keeping up with the news.  Even people entering at recognized ports of entry are being subjected to detention and ill treatment.  'Sneaking in' is no longer the shitty justification that it was.


 

We need to make LEGAL crossing more attractive.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON that enters the US and says, 'I am seeking asylum' has, because of that phrase, done so legally.  It doesn't matter if they came at a port of entry or crossed in the dead of night or were smuggled across in the back of a lorry.  There is no such thing as an illegal asylum seeker.

Easy citizenship for high tech and college degree people - better work visas, sponsored entries - just like all my grandparents... By the numbers.

So, computer programmers and specialists in Byzantine pottery should get preference over people fleeing the death squads of narco-terrorists?  Are you out of your mind?

You might just as well shut down INS - and just leave the entry ports open to all....
