Have you ever considered that your notions of people “hating god” are s defense mechanism employed to externalize what would be more properly described as being disgusted with people and organizations such as yourself?
“The Church” isn’t filling any need, it’s directly causing the situation which has lead his friend to self harm.
Do -you- get it now? None of this has anything to do with any god or anyone who hates any god.
