The first couple times I heard this song, I was sure that the "Hallelujah" that forms the hook of the song didn't come from a human. Eventually, I found the actual sample, and it turned out to be a heavily effected sample from a gospel song (relevant "Hallelujah" at 5:03):
To be fair, if you can process the sound of two box turtles mating enough, it can sound like the 1812 Overture. And since Tchaikovsky and box turtles are both in the animal kingdom, it wouldn’t be too far off.
This doesn’t justify mistaking the sounds of turtle sex with the sounds of cannon fire.
