Did you read beyond the headline? There is not one word in that article about tax breaks for billionaires and corporations.

But to me they sound the same even though they are spelled differently. Just like "They're" "There" and "Their" all mean completely different things.

Let's look at this...they're, there, and their do sound alike.  

What attic and addict have in common in they both start with the letter "a" and are two syllable words.

Attic has two "Ts" together and it ends with a "K" sound.

Addict has two "Ds" together and ends with "CT".  

I have hearing loss and even with that the two words sound very different.  If you are hearing them the same you should maybe have your hearing checked.

He's clearly very motivated to do so.  To the point that he chooses to make it a media event.  He profits from the direct financial stake in the medication and from the brand built around his cult of personality. We could bicker over which of the two is more profitable, lol, but whatever the intangible benefit of having cultists may one day be, there's no grift too petty for this asshole - and never has been.

Not really sure where to put this - I have been really impressed with my town's mayor and how he has handled the whole coronavirus thing with shutdowns and going against the governor in some ways.  He kept the community updated.  He even started doing a little Internet show for young kids to try to explain some things to them and help allay their fears.

Yeah, well, a city council member asked him if some young people could be brought in from time to time to lead the prayer before the meeting.  Yeah, I know, so much for the separation of church and state...I get it...it's worse than that...I copied several parts of one article in case the link doesn't work.  On a local Facebook group at least one person has already mentioned contacted the Freedom From Religion Foundation.

I hate to admit I was blindsided by this.  I cannot take away from him all good he has done for this town in the last decade plus but this is unacceptable.

To be fair, Brian thinks a kookaburra sounds like a chimp.  So it's perfectly possible that 'attic' and 'addict' sound alike to him.
