But they can't be certain that there was a fall in the first place because nobody knows what was added to the "original".

Also, how can so-called nondenominational Christians call themselves like that considering that they are using Bible(s) set by denomination (mostly Catholics) who choose which books to worship?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas).
