You cannot effectively lock down a 1,954 mile border. Even if you could, they can simply (and already do) fly to Canada and walk across the unsecured Canadian border. You know, that 5,525 mile imaginary line on the map up north. That's nearly 7,500 miles of border to patrol and secure, and that doesn't even take into account the 95,471 miles of US coastline.
But, yeah. Let's get back to building that wall along an insignificant portion of the southern border so our politicians can go look tough for photo ops.
