Quite correct! When something bad happens to me, I don't wonder if I did something to anger a deity. I know that bad things just randomly happen in life. I also don't fret about ending up in a firepit for all eternity after I die. I know it's not a real place. So, while you're worrying about pleasing some deity, I'm happily going about my life enjoying myself.
