Quote:What is God? God is spirit, therefore he is more than natural. He is supernatural. So if he/it/thing is beyond our senses, I guess we can rule him out. We can only work with what we know and quite frankly, the existence of god has so far, not been demonstrated. You're using an unknown to explain the known, which is illogical. Also not just any unknown, but the highly improbable. So since we cannot know if a god or gods exist or not it is there for unnecessary to assert that it had anything to do with the universe. A does not prove B without first proving A.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity. Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist. You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them. Again, I quote that you said you are leaving yet you post a new topic today without answering any questions on the previous thread? Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. Why do we give these idiots any attention? Quote:Albert Einstein said; "I'm not an atheist and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangements of the books, but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God." The deadening, but thankfully gradually shriveling, hand of intellectual oppression by your garbage religion? RE: God vs Science

I went to public school in the US (with a breif stopover at a private catholic high-school). A lot of folks I know smarter than myself went to public school as well. Lets lay the blame properly. Education didn't fail this guy, he failed himself.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
The probability of Isaac Newton being correct on the subject of the existence of God far exceeds your probability of the theory of no God. Due to the fact of his qualifications and experience in the subjects of mathematics , physics, cosmology, and theology.

No, it does not. Due to the fact that we both (Newton and myself...and anyone else) possess exactly the same evidence with regards to the existence of god. None. Going further, Newton was not aware of a large amount of the evidence against the christian concept of god, due to it not having been discovered yet. I guess I'm just lucky being born in the here and now.
