Well that depends on if you believe in the "once saved always saved" doctrine or if you believe you can loose your salvation. Then add in the whole nonsense about blaspheming the Holy Spirit ( in which some interpret as becoming an atheist). Oddly, as I recall, those who believe in "once saved always saved" also believe that you can commit the unforgivable sin, which of course makes no sense. But then again one ought to know at what point you loose your salvation, (although perhaps for me this is pointless because I think I fall in the doomed to hell category). If you can loose your salvation then the line at which you cross over into the "unsaved" category ought to be clearly marked...which it is not. But then again it doesn't need to be (according to some people) because you will know when you have crossed this line. To which I say, "well what if this is wrong and you can cross the line and not know it?" Should I go to hell on a technicality? How about I just cut the crap and go to a faith healer and have the "evil spirit of atheism" exorcised from me. Oh wait, can an evil spirit inhabit a Christian? What does this mean for former Christians who have become atheists? Who exactly is sealed in the spirit? How many binary things can exist in a person?
Now about judgement day, are you talking about the day you die, or the day that Jesus comes in a cloud and the rapture happens, and then a bunch of other shit happens, and then people get judged? If this is so, let me mention that there is some confusion as to whether Christians will be held accountable for the things they did on earth (but still go to heaven) or not. Of course everyone else will also be held accountable but, regardless of whether we behaved better than the Christians or not, they will all go to hell. Of course there is some debate about the book of revelations. Was it meant to be about events that happened in the first century like many schlors suggest, or is the end of the world coming at any moment? Also, I heard that at the rapture, if a Christian grabs me while he is ascending into heaven I will have a split second to recant my atheism. Being that I live in the Bible belt I have a greater chance of flying than most people. So if I don't piss off a Christian He or she might grab me. But then again merely being an atheist pisses them off so I guess I'm just screwed. But then again I can also be judged while I'm alive on Earth. Does this mean I will be judged twice for the same sin? Is it like being taxed twice or is it more like paying up ahead of time? Wait, I can't pay for my own sin, it says this right in the Protestant doctrines. My sin can only be forgiven having faith in the zombie god who fucked his mother. Then there is purgatory. Is it a holding pen somewhere between heaven and hell or is it Central Pennsylvania? There also is a town in Colorado by that name. Anyone remember what the Pope said about this this century? I suppose I shouldn't have to deal with this issue because I was never a Catholic. Which means I was screwed from the beginning. But then again if only one religion is right then I have many chances of being screwed from the beginning. But then again if you believe in the god who screwed a virgin then you can bring the argument full circle kind of sort of, well maybe not.
Do you have a headache yet? Hee, hee.
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise
